Electric Guitar
Natural de Sevilla, comienza su andadura musical a temprana edad con la guitarra flamenca. Tras realizar estudios en el Conservatorio de Música de Sevilla, conoce al saxofonista tejano Abdu Salim con quien se introduce en la música de jazz. En esos años, amplió conocimientos de teoría musical y armonía moderna con, Kenny Burrell, Cedar Walton, Ralph Moore, Dave Williams y Billy Higgins, entre otros.
Ha colaborado y actuado con músicos como:
Abdú Salim, Lou Bennett, Manuel Machado, Chano Domínguez, Javier Colinas, Joshua Edelman, Tito Alcedo, Richie Ferrer, Nirankar Kalsha, Roman Filíu, la Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, Elmer Bernstein, Nyck Rayne, Raphael, etc
Ha actuado en distintos festivales como:
- El Festival de Jazz de Toledo.
- IV Semana de Jazz Caja Ávila.
- Festival Internacional de Jazz de Ciudad Real.
- Festival de Teatro Clásico de Itálica.
- Festival Internacional de Jazz de Sevilla.
- Ciclo de Música de Cine dirigido por Nick Rayne (Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla - Teatro de la Maestranza).
- Ciclo de Música de Cine dirigido por Elmer Bernstein (OSSA)
- 1º PREMIO CONCURSO INTERNACIONAL DE JAZZ "AUDICIONES", Fundación Canal, 2008.
- FINALISTA CONCURSO "PALMA-JAZZ", Palma de Mallorca 2009.
Actualmente combina las actuaciones musicales con la labor pedagógica.
A native of Seville, Mariano began his musical career at an early age with the flamenco guitar. Following his studies at the Conservatory of Music in Seville, he met Abdu Salim, a Texan saxophonist who introduced him to jazz music. Thanks to this association, Mariano extended his knowledge of music theory and modern harmony while listening to the likes of Kenny Burrell, Cedar Walton, Ralph Moore, Dave Williams and Billy Higgins.
Mariano has collaborated and performed with musicians like:
Abdu Salim, Lou Bennett, Manuel Machado, Chano Dominguez, Javier Colina, Joshua Edelman, Tito Alcedo, Richie Ferrer Nirankar Kalsha, Seville Symphony Orchestra, Elmer Bernstein, Nyck Rayne, Raphael and others.
He has performed at various festivals such as :
- The Toledo Jazz Festival,
- The Fourth Week of Jazz Box Avila,
- The International Jazz Festival of Ciudad Real,
- The Classical Theater Festival of Italica,
- The International Jazz Festival of Seville, Cycle Film Music directed by Nick Rayne and Elmer Bernstein (Symphonic Orchestra of Seville - Teatro de la Maestranza).

Mariano is currently juggling his musical compositions and performances with his work as an Art Teacher.
