Jorge-vistel es un joven trompetista nacido en Santiago De Cuba. Comenzó sus estudios en la Vocacional de Arte José María Heredia y posteriormente ingresó en el Conservatorio Esteban Salas.
Finalmente terminó sus estudios de trompeta en la prestigiosa Escuela Nacional de Música de Cuba, graduándose como profesor. En esos años, combinó sus estudios reglados con clinics de jazz e improvisación a cargo del saxofonista alto Steve Coleman.
Junto a su hermano Maikel formó en 2011 el grupo Vistel Brothers. Su musica está basada en las tendencias del jazz moderno y de la musica afrocubana. Con su banda han participado en numerosos festivales en todo el mundo, como en el Festival de Jazz de Monterrey (EEUU), Festival de Jazz de las Islas Bermudas, Habana Jazz Plaza y el Festival de Jazz de Varadero.

Jorge Vistel ha tocado en los Festivales de Jazz más importantes de España como:
El Festival de Jazz de Vitoria, el Festival de Jazz de Castelldefels o el festival de Jazz de Menorca. En la actualidad es trompeta solista de la FonJazz (Fundación Orquesta Nacional de Jazz de España) bajo la dirección del maestro Ramón Farrán. En Noviembre del 2010 toca con Dough Hammond y su banda.

Born in Santiago De Cuba, this young trumpet player began his studies at the José María Heredia Vocational Art School and then joined the Esteban Salas Conservatory.
Jorge finished his studies at the prestigious National School of Music in Cuba, where he graduated as a teacher. During those years, he combined his regular school studies with jazz and improvisation clinics under the guidance of the alto saxophonist Steve Coleman.
Along with his brother Maikel, he formed the group Vistel Brothers. Their music is based on trends of modern jazz and Afro-Cuban music. With this band, he has played in many jazz festivals around the world suchs as the Monterrey Jazz festival (USA), the Bermuda Island Jazz Festival, the Habana Jazz Plaza and the Varadero Jazz Festival.
He has shared the stage and musical experiences with important musicians such as:
